SUMMARY:Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion Recognition Training (SRSRT)
DESCRIPTION:The City of Lebanon is hosting a Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion Recognition Training and a CDL Driver Drug and Alcohol Compliance Training on: Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion Recognition Training (SRSRT):\n\n \n\nMeets the federal DOT requirements of 49 CFR\, Part 382.603.\n\nIs suited for any business that has (or would like to have) a Drug Free Workplace Program and would like key personnel trained to recognize drug and alcohol misuse/abuse in the workplace.\n\nProvides training on the recognition\, confrontation and documentation involved if an employee demonstrates characteristics of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at work.\n\nThis is a requirement for all DOT drivers and supervisors that oversee DOT drivers. Subpart F - Alcohol misuse and controlled substances use information\, training\, and referral:    382.601Employer obligation to promulgate a policy on the misuse of alcohol and use of controlled substances.\n\nSubpart F - Alcohol misuse and controlled substances use information\, training\, and referral:    382.603Training for supervisors.  Each employer shall ensure that all persons designated to supervise drivers receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and receive at least an additional 60 minutes of training on controlled substances use. The training will be used by the supervisors to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to undergo testing under  382.307. The training shall include the physical\, behavioral\, speech\, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances. Recurrent training for supervisory personnel is not required.\n\n \n\nCDL Driver Training:\n\nOur CDL Driver Training Class is an overview of the federal drug and alcohol testing regulations that apply to CDL drivers.  Regulations indicate it is mandatory that all employers of CDL drivers provide those drivers with the required content described in 49 CFR\, Part 382.601(b).  This content must include the name(s) of the company DER(s)\, categories of drivers subject to testing\, when those drivers are subject to testing\, prohibited conduct\, consequences of a violation\, procedures for conducting drug and alcohol tests\, what is a refusal to test and information on the effects of alcohol and controlled substances.\n\n \n\nSRSRT class cost is $75 per person.  Municipal employees cost is $60.00.  Materials will be provided.  Upon completion of the class\, participants will receive full SRSRT certification.\n\n \n\nCDL Driver class cost is $20 per person. Materials will be provided.\n\nUpon completion of the class\, participants will receive full DOT Driver certification
