DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar for 2013's Mid-Missouri Percussion Arts Trophy competition\, and prepare to be amazed\, charmed\, and fascinated by what you see\, hear\, and learn about great music and performance.\n\n \n\n On March 2nd\, at the Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon\, Missouri\, the sixth national Mid-Missouri Percussion Arts Trophy will feature young percussionists High School through post-graduate students - from around the country playing music that might be as new as 2013\, or transcriptions of music written by well known composers.\n\n \n\n This year's guest artists include renowned marimba virtuoso\, composer\, and nationally recognized educator Nathan Daughtrey\, and the Missouri State University Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Scott Cameron.\n\n \n\n This all-day event\, for the modest admission fee of $10.00\, entitles you to attend a day of competition\, master classes\, and a dazzling concert. And your commemorative 2013 MMPAT wrist-band enables you to come and go as you please throughout the 11 hour day without having to dig around in your pockets for tickets to different events. \n\n \nMMPAT is not an event with appeal only to specialists in percussion\, but an exhilarating and thoroughly enjoyable event for anyone who has a passion for music and excellent performance.
