Disaster Assessment Fundamentals Class
After a disaster, the Red Cross gives individual assistance based on the specific needs of the family. To determine the needs for each family, one tool we use is called Damage Assessment. Disaster Assessment volunteers travel around an area that has been affected by a disaster and determine the level of impact the disaster had on each home using specific criteria.
